Mead & Greed Festival Pt. 1

Yesterday I rode to Oberhausen to enjoy a good bunch of Folk and Metal bands during this 2-day-festival.

Nemoreus from Austria opened and delivered some fierce Folk Metal. Great variety of vocals and instruments.

Brisinga followed and played their set of ethereal, gentle folk music. With flute, harp, cello, hurdy-gurdy and nyckelharpa they enchanted the audience!

The next band was Baumbart and their Epic Acoustic Rock took the crowd immediately into their realm. If you like Turisas‘ acoustic session, this is right up your alley.

I regret never having checked out Haggefugg before, because their mix of metal, medieval bagpipes and fun made everyone jump and chant along. Heavy, entertaining and energetic!

Headliner and last band on the stage were the glorious Ragnaröek with tons of neck breaking songs and a great performance.
